       (1) The hammer forging frequency is high, up to hundreds or even thousands of times per minute. This loading method reduces the friction coefficient between the metal and the tool, the surface of the forging is smooth, and the internal deformation is uniform.


       (2) When the hammer is forged, the stroke of each stroke is small, the amount of deformation is small, and the contact area with the metal is small, which can greatly reduce the deformation force and deformation function, reduce the tonnage of the equipment and improve the service life of the tool.


       (3) The stroke of the hammer head can be adjusted arbitrarily, and the shape of the hammer head can be adapted to the size of the process. It is not necessary to replace the hammer head, and forged bars of a certain size range can be produced.


       (4) During forging, the stroke of the four hammer heads remains unchanged, so the dimensional accuracy is high.


       (5) According to the temperature change of the blank during the deformation process, the feeding amount can be adjusted to realize "isothermal" forging.


       (6) According to the four hammer heads with arc grooves to compress the metal, the metal can only extend axially, so there will be no circumferential edges and corners and cracks, which is different from the flat anvil compression during free forging.


       (7) High three-dimensional compressive stress will be generated during forging, which can increase the plasticity of the metal by 2-3 times and obtain a high pass forging ratio (pure titanium 6/1, alloy 4/1),


       (8) When the feeding speed and the pass reduction amount are large, a high thermal effect will be generated inside the billet, which will increase the deformation temperature. For example, the temperature rise of TC11 alloy can reach 90 degree , and too high temperature rise will coarsen the forging structure.
